Introduction :
The Oven is an avant-garde data & design-driven online networking platform created by Business Strategists & Custodians. It is intended to address issues of unemployment, skill gap and quality of products & services in the African market by borrowing heavily from the knowledge economy & the freelance economy. Time & intellectual property are therefore the two resources of importance on the platform.
The Oven attracts esteemed industry veterans & titans who contribute as trainers or mentors through the Pal.Apprenticeship section of The Oven.
Our flexible modes of contribution through this platform allows mentors & trainers to contribute to the cause without disrupting their vocational or academic path. Most importantly, a majority of the activities are designed as "part-time" events. The primary form of engagement on the platform is mentorship but applicants who want to contribute as trainers can apply here to join our Freelance Pool for selection when training programs are available.
Those being mentored, or "pals" as they are known on the platform to create a more peer-to-peer relationship with mentors, ideally spend 80% of their time on projects & clients under the Blue Kite Holdings umbrella through its subsidiaries, and 20% of their time on personal projects both through the Office.Network section of The Oven . The platform was designed after the member founders argued that if the best athletes need coaches through out their careers, so do professionals.

The mentorship platform offers individuals in the peak or later parts of their careers an opportunity to give back to society by guiding some of the most brilliant minds in Kenya through their fledgling careers as they find their footings & build foundations. Pal - Mentor relationships are designed for both life long ties or a brief three (3) months long one-on-one encounter between participants on either side of the experience. The programs social & harmonious camaraderie has proved a great source of inspiration for pals & a fulfilling pastime for both mentors & trainers.
Getting Started:
Pal.Apprenticeship membership is reserved to invitation by existing members only. One invitation from any member is the minimum requirement for membership confirmation.
